unarmored

What if you didn’t have to hold it

all together…and were still met?

An 8-week Group Immersive centered around a 2-day In-Person Experience weaving Breathwork, IFS, Somatics, and Relational practices.

Led by Rachel Rappa & Dr. Val Camarano

You’ve become really

good at functioning

People rely on you.
You anticipate needs.
You stay thoughtful, capable, emotionally aware.
You keep things moving.
You carry a lot, often without letting others fully see it.

And somewhere along the way, connection may have started to feel effortful.

You learned to stay attuned.
You learned to need less.
You learned to be easy to love.
You learned how to manage yourself in relationships.

And now closeness can feel both deeply wanted and strangely hard to receive.

UNARMORED is a small group immersive for people who are ready to loosen some of that armor, not through performance or endless self-analysis, but through real experiences with other humans.

Less performing.
Less self-monitoring.
Less holding everything alone.

More honesty.
More openness.
More room to exhale.

This is for you if…

You are high functioning on the outside, but internally tired of how much effort it takes to stay emotionally “together.”

You may:

  • over-function in relationships

  • struggle to fully relax around other people

  • intellectualize instead of letting yourself be impacted

  • feel lonely even inside loving relationships

  • fear being “too much,” needy, emotional, disappointing, or hard to love

  • notice yourself shape-shifting, managing, accommodating, or staying hyper-aware of others

  • crave closeness while simultaneously protecting yourself from it

  • spend more time attuning to others than noticing yourself

Maybe you already understand your patterns deeply.

But insight alone does not always soften attachment wounds.

Your nervous system changes through experience.
Through being seen differently.
Through trying something new while other people stay with you.

Why this feels different

This is not a retreat built around performance, perfection, or “fixing yourself.”

It’s a carefully held relational space where more of you gets to come forward.

A place where:

  • you don’t have to be the most regulated person in the room

  • you don’t have to caretake everyone else’s experience

  • you don’t have to earn belonging through competence

  • your protectors can soften without being forced away

There is depth here.

But also laughter.
Playfulness.
Warmth.
Moments that feel unexpectedly human and relieving.

For many people, the experience is less about “healing” and more about finally exhaling around other people.

What People Experience

“Rachel and Dr. Val created a space that felt incredibly safe, intentional, and deeply connected.

I felt so held throughout the entire experience.

There was such a strong sense of presence in the room—you can feel how much they truly care about what they do and meeting you where you are.

It wasn’t just breathwork or an extended therapy session, it was a deeply moving experience I’ll carry with me.”

The Container

UNARMORED is held inside an 8-week experience designed to support both opening and integration.

The group includes:

  • Two virtual preparation calls

  • Two in-person immersive days

  • Four virtual integration calls

  • Small group size (4–6 participants)

The intimate size allows for real relational depth, individualized attention, and enough safety to move beyond surface-level interaction.

The in-person immersive takes place in a thoughtfully designed home setting on Long Island. Warm, spacious, grounding, and intentionally non-clinical.

How we get there

The work is experiential, relational, somatic, and parts-informed.

We use:

  • breathwork to loosen protective patterns and access deeper emotional material

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) to understand the parts of you that learned to protect, manage, perform, or withdraw

  • somatic practices to help the body register safety, emotion, and connection differently

  • relational exercises and group process to create new experiences in real time with others

This is not about forcing vulnerability or breaking defenses down.

It’s about helping your system discover that you no longer have to hold everything quite so tightly.

What people

leave with

People often leave feeling:

  • more emotionally open

  • more connected to themselves

  • less guarded in relationships

  • more able to receive care and support

  • less alone in their inner world

  • more aware of the difference between protection and presence

  • more alive, spontaneous, and emotionally honest

Not because they became someone new.

Because they spent time practicing what it feels like to be more fully themselves around others.

About the Facilitators

UNARMORED is facilitated by Rachel Rappa and Dr. Valerie Camarano.

Together, we bring backgrounds in breathwork, somatic and experiential work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), relational psychotherapy, and nervous system-informed healing.

More importantly, we care deeply about creating spaces that feel real.

Spaces where people can soften without being overwhelmed.
Be challenged without being shamed.
Be seen without needing to perform.

We guide in real time with warmth, attunement, honesty, and care.

If this

resonates

You do not need to be “good” at groups.

You do not need to be endlessly extroverted or emotionally expressive.

You do not need to arrive fully clear or fully ready.

You only need some part of you that is tired of doing this all alone.

Applications are intentionally limited due to the size and depth of the container.
